The horses Hilda & Oak are just so steady & gentle. Fran was amazing building rapport with our 6 & 12 year olds, then letting them meet the horses.
Till this morning, the 12 year old was terrified of horses. Within half an hour she was grooming, shampooing & braiding Hilda’s mane. What a transformation.

Such a blessing for our 12 year old daughter, she's been attending all year, come rain hail or shine she will happily go out onto the hills to be with the animals and always comes back saying it was a good day. Willow Nook nurtures our daughters natural affinity with animals and allows her a well paced and gentle enviroment to imbibe and learn. Not always comfortable around humans our daughter trusts Fran with an ease that is testament to Frans deeply intuitive nature.
Our child absolutely loves going to the Hooves & Nature sessions and looks forward to getting up the hill to see Fran and the animals every Saturday, no matter the weather. She has learned so much about being with and caring for the ponies, developing a lovely bond with Oak under Fran’s expert guidance. It has been great to see her developing in confidence and learning new skills that she can apply to other situations, for example being more assertive in situations with her peers.
